Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Redwatcher. They are meant to be readable; where something matters to your risk, we have said it plainly rather than burying it.
1. Acceptance
By creating an account or using Redwatcher you agree to these terms. If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you confirm you are authorised to bind it. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. The service
Redwatcher monitors publicly visible Reddit posts and comments for terms you configure, scores how relevant each match is, and sends alerts to the channels you choose. We may change, add to or withdraw features; if a change materially reduces what you have paid for, we will tell you.
3. No guarantee of coverage or results
This one matters, so it is not hidden. Reddit is a third-party platform we do not control. It rate-limits, changes its interfaces, removes content and blocks traffic without notice, and communities can be made private or banned at any moment. We work hard at coverage and we will tell you when monitoring is degraded — but we do not guarantee that every relevant post will be found, or found within any particular time, and we do not guarantee any business outcome from using the service.
4. Third-party platforms
Your use of Reddit, Slack, Telegram or any endpoint you connect is governed by that provider's own terms. You are responsible for holding any account you connect and for complying with its rules. We are not responsible for a third party's acts, outages or decisions.
5. Your responsibilities
- Give accurate account information and keep your sign-in secure.
- Use the service lawfully, and in a way that respects the privacy of the people whose public posts it surfaces.
- Do not use Redwatcher to harass, stalk, profile or target individuals, to build a dataset about a person, or to break Reddit's rules.
- Do not resell, scrape or redistribute the service or its output as a competing product, and do not attempt to circumvent limits.
We may suspend an account that breaks these rules, and we will say why.
6. Plans, fees and trials
Paid plans are billed in advance on the cycle you choose and renew automatically until cancelled. Cancel at any time and you keep access to the end of the period you have paid for. Fees are exclusive of taxes. Free trials convert to a paid plan only if you choose one; we will not charge a card you have not given us.
7. Intellectual property
We own the service, the software and our brand. You own your configuration and your data. You grant us only the licence needed to run the service for you. Public Reddit content remains the property of whoever wrote it; we surface it, we do not claim it.
8. Confidentiality
Each of us will protect the other's non-public information and use it only for the purposes of these terms.
9. Disclaimer
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for lost profits, revenue or goodwill. Our total liability arising out of these terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.
11. Indemnity
You will indemnify us against claims arising from your use of the service in breach of these terms or of applicable law.
12. Termination
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate for material breach, or for non-payment after notice. On termination your access ends and your data is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction — without affecting any mandatory rights you have as a consumer where you live.
14. Changes
We may update these terms. We will update the date above and tell account holders by email before a material change takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the change.
15. Miscellaneous
If a provision is unenforceable the rest stands. Failing to enforce a right is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these terms without our consent; we may assign them to a successor of the business. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between us.
